A new environment, well, almost

Hallo,
here is another hand from the lower half of the world. I am looking forward to experience new things. Pleased to discover quite a number of names from one or another forum here.
My main interests are of maritime nature,followed by architecture, militaria and Model Railways. But I have built other stuff as far back as 1956.

What is a good winter ? I hate it immensely and wait for global warming. But I must say, yesterday and today 20 degrees C is comfortable. 35 degrees would suit me better and it reduces my power and gas bills. Here's for warmer days,
