I don't think I have any photos of the 1st Cav birds that I flew in. They would have been in the standard Army scheme of 1963. I will try to dig out my log books to check on the serial number.

That will be a help Don. Here is the prelim. of the fuselage minus the cowling nose with intakes. Used to see them in France, were they flew with the ALAT.I was taught on the Cessna Aerobat, but flew most of my hours on the L-18, or the PA-18-135 as they were called in Holland.

Looking good. I love watching these design / build threads. Someday I want to do my vehicles up and watch each to try and pick up tips.

It's starting to look like an L-19 (although Dan probably thinks it looks like a Corsair).

Corsair Huh ? Now who's the cranky one here ? In the meantime the thing is still going slowly, but a lot less surely. Trouble with the fit of the wing skinning. Thanks for the support so far.

It's a long running joke about every plane looking like a Corsair.

Gathered as much, hence the the remark about cranky as in cranked wings as on F4U.

I'm very interested in seeing the final results of this build!
