Hello from Jca245 in Tennessee
I found your site a few days ago and after looking at the wealth of information and knowledge I knew I had to join in.
I had constructed some paper military vehicles for a project when I was in high School back in 1969, but did not get too much further than that. I retired 3 years ago and started dusting off my old hobbies with an interest in modeling again. I am currently working on a wooden ship model called the "Bluenose 2" from a kit, and got an idea that it would be fun to use the kit plans to create a paper version. I will let you all know what happens. Take care all. Joe Kingsport, TN |

Thank you for the site information. There seem to be lots of great web sites out there now on Origami.
I only have about 7 books on origami but my favorite is my oldest called "The World of Origami" by Isao Honda. It is the 2nd printing 1966 hardcover edition printed in Japan (English version) by "Japan Publications Trading Company". I used to be bedridden with Asthma for several weeks out of the year when I was younger. My uncle picked up this book to keep me occupied during that time. It became one of my cherished possessions. While I have not practiced much in the later years, that is changing. I still use it now and then to entertain people in restaurants or at parties. While in the Army and stationed in Okinawa, I was befriended by the locals because of Origami. Take Care |
