Returning after long absence

Hi All.......
Have been away for more than 2 years. I became quite ill, then the wife became quite ill as well, moved to a new address, etc, etc, etc. No need for the gory details.....many of you can relate to these sort of things....but I'm back, and EXCEPTIONALLY glad to be here. Some of you may remember the JSC Indianapolis thread that I started. It's still unfinished on the shelf, but I really wanted to start anew.....and after reading the book "Japanese Destroyer Captain", by Tameichi Hara, have decided on the Gremir IJN Nagatsuki, as this was his very first full command during the years 1934-1937.
I will now be known as tincan871, as I also, was a tin can sailor. When I familiarize myself with this new format, I'll post a few photos although I think it's been done before by others.
Regards to all and looking forward to joining you again!!......
Ed Mayday

Welcome, look forward to seeing your build. Mike seems to do nothing but publish top notch models, and the ability to reprint it seems to help those of all skill levels

Welcome back Ed, glad to see you here. I've often wondered how the pair of you were doing.

Good to hear your print again, Maurice. You were so kind in your help with the turrets if the Indy.....I DO plan to finish this project in the future and will update with a few photos. The wife and I are hopefully now back on track with the past couple years behind us and I am looking forward to continued participation.

Me thinks I have found the solution.....to kick things off at the beginning, I'll start with my work area. Just a small corner of our guest bedroom with a worktable and a mixture of 5 lamps, both fluorescent and incandescent. Can someone tell me whether to start a new thread....or continue here.

That is a splendid work area. I can spend a lot of time pouring over the photo to see how you have arranged your tools, material, and work space. I always like work space shots and this one is very much to my liking. I'm very much looking forward to watching your Nagatsuki take shape. It's off to a great start.
