Hello from Lorain Ohio!

Hi Folks,

I'm a long time plastic modeller. My father really enjoyed paper models prior to his passing. I'll post some photos of his stuff in the future.

My primary interest is real space models. I'm responsible for a space exploration classroom. These models will be put to use teaching youth.

I'm looking forward to learning the skills!

Welcome to the forum. 1. make friends with "Retired for now" 2. find the downloads section and look throught the space part lots and lots of stuff. ask questions only way to learn,

Welcome to the forum, you will find lots of nice builds and people be able to tell you good sites for nice little models for the children to build as well for them classes

I live in Sheffield Lake and Ohio Mike lives in Grafton.

Thus, there are some paper modelers close to you.

I build 1/72 scale WW II vehicles and 1/144 scale WW I airplanes.

Thanks for the welcome. "Retired for now"s Mar Science Lab model is actually what brought me to this site. I've downloaded it and am going to start construction soon!

Zak, I'm from the far east side of Lorain, less than 1/2 mile from Sheffield Lake. Maybe we could meet sometime?

Yes, we can meet.

Would probably need to be at my house because I care for my 92 yr. old mother who has Alzheimer's and cannot be left alone.
My wife has a full schedule so I seldom get away from the house.

Have been making cardmodels for last 12 years so I have a bunch of them.

Hope that you like Rottweilers.

Welcome aboard, Dan! Classroom education and teacher support is what got me started here so very glad to have you on the forum. Make sure you take a look at the links section (free models) for the NASA, JPL and ESA sites as well as the Lower Hudson Valley Challenger center. We also have links to Ton's home page (alphabetized as pe2tr - his call letters) and the Ninfinger and Nielspapermodels link sites.
