Hi,
My first paper model was the Bismarck, done back in the early 70's while stationed in Germany. Since then I have dabbled a bit but am primarily a plastic and wood modeler. I like paper for a number of reasons and thought I'd do a bit more than I have.

Glad you've joined us. The Bismarck is quite a feat for first paper model. Do you have pics?

I had been modeling, plastic & wood, kit & scratchbuilt, static & flying or floating, for some 20 years before I got ahold of the Bismarck, so yes, paper was new to me and the kit had lots of pieces but I treated that as a fun challenge. I left it with a German neighbor when we came home, but I found another copy on a later trip over and have had it sitting here waiting in the stash for a couple decades.
