A girl in a men's world

Hi guys,

this is my first attempt at posting here, but if some of you were subscribed to the racing paper forum you may already know me. I'm the same girl who designed the 2008-10 1/32 Nascar COT. For those who do not know what I'm talking about here is a link www.morinperformance.com to the 2010 models.

I took a break for a few months, but as you may already know, you can get someone out of the hobby, but you cannot get the hobby out of someone. I could not resist to design new models an gave a shot at a few antique cars, my true passion. I grew up with dad's Fords Model T's, Model A's and even a '32 Model B. American cars from the fifties are my favorites, but sadly finding any realistic paper models of them is about impossible and that is why I am so dedicated to the creation of 1/43 scale American classics.

Now that you know a little more about me, I feel ready to jump in the game!

Regards
Cami

Hi Cami.
Welcome to the forum. I congratulate you for your race car 2008-10 1/32 Nascar COT design. looks very nice and the design is not complicated. I do not know much about cars and my passion is for supersonic jets, but I love to see a lady design, so I will enjoy it a lot watching your progress. congratulations

Took a look at the pictures of your models...nice work. And thank you for adding to the paper modeling world.

As for the lady amongst a sea of gents. yeah, that is kinda weird.. why aren't there more ladies building and designing paper models. Three of my top ten list of favorite modern artists are women. So, it isn't for lack of talent, that's for sure.

And it can't be subject matter either.. if you don't like vehicles and spaceships, there are dolls and castles and animals and more.

Hi Cami,

I am very happy to see you here.

And I am very glad to hear that you are still designing models

To all others, her NASCAR vehicles are great models, details are there, but not needed to make a great looking car

Dear Cami:
Note you are not the only female in the "sport" Lookup pig in a poke and others in the forum. I will say I am a equal Butcher of any model male female alien ect.
Enjoy,
MILES
