Hello! I do hope this is "posting a message"

Hi! from Western Australia.
I have just purchased the Pepakura Designer software and looking through their fascinating gallery, find myself registering on Paper Modelers, another fascinating site. I think that I have been here before but probably got too lost at that time.
I am very new to 3D papercraft ie creating models and I am still an enthusiastic beginner. I have much to learn and fortunately have the time
I do hope that this is the message needed for approval. I am so new to forums that I find them very confusing. eg. Is this a post or a new thread, or both?
At the moment, I am simply enjoying putting paper models together and am pleased with most of my results. I found, as a newby the Pepakura dragon, (right and left foot included) very challenging and I am very grateful for the help of the papercrafters who have offered instructions on this cute little dragon.
Thanks to the Welcome Desk.

Welcome, indeed. You already must have realized the huge range of paper models, including planes, ships, vehicles of all sorts, animals, cartoon/human figures, and buildings. Do you have a special area of interest, or are you a generalist?

Hi! Yale,
Yes, I do have a particular interest in Dragons and tall ships including such as the Terrestial Voyager, however this area of creativity, being so new to me, offers many tempting models and I have a couple of Mech Warriors as beginner's projects. I am also getting back to Blender, hoping that I can create my own 3d models eventually. I am also keen to learn more about automata. This seems like a really fun area in which to get involved. I have a number of projects ready to be put together and now that I have managed to get a more appropriate glue, I shall endeavour to put more time into the modeling. So maybe I am a "generalist" afterall. I am not good with labels. I simply want to enjoy life.
And I am always amazed at the kindness and generosity of all the creative people on the web.
Many thanks for the welcome.

Hi! Anne,
There are so many truely creative people who put stuff on-line to share that I am continuously delighted when I come across their sites or blogs or whatever. I do hope that I can return some of that sharing when I raise my modelling levels.
Many thanks for your welcome.

Thanks, SPeR, for your welcome.
Stopping papercraft is not an option for me. I do have other creative areas however at this moment in time, modelling and designing "spekki" cards for fundraising has me a little hooked. I enjoy the peace and quiet of the work and the satisfaction can enormous when overcoming an awkward peice especially if it is in another language.
This forum stuff is very new to me so I thank you for the encouragement.

Hi! Jerry V,
I did take a quick peak at your Titanic and it looks like a Huuuuuge project.
What a challenge.
I am sure that I shall enjoy what other do as much as what I achieve myself.
Thank you for the welcome.
