Hello from Western Pennsylvania

I'm brand new to paper modeling although I have built wooden model ships for many years so I need a lot of information about paper modeling. Any advice, threads or tutorials that the members suggest would be greatly appreciated.

My specific interest is ships of the World War II period.

I appreciate the opportunity to join and look forward to watch the "pros" do their incedible modeling.

Mike

Hello Mike,

Welcome to Paper Modelers from SE Arizona.
Custom Paper Pocket Yachts, Canon Papercraft and Digital Navy have some very nice ship models. Custom is the simplest, Canon has very good instructions, Digital Navy the most complicated (and best when done)

Welcome, Mike. Paper is just another type of sheet goods so your wood model building skills should transfer just fine. Paper is thinner and more flexible (depending on what you use - bond paper to matte board). The biggest gain is in the graphics. You can add as much detail at the printer as you have time for.

For additional info try Card Modeling FAQ .

Kracut..thanks for the sites...it'll take me some time to go over them but they seem to have lots of info that I need.

George--the digital navy site was interesting.
