Another Newbie
Hi There,
I am from Ontario, Canada. Currently I am working on miniature ( 1/8 and 1/12 scale ) horse drawn wagons as well as a couple of small, stationary steam engines. I have always been interested in the art of making things from paper, and following some of the threads here I can plainly see that the hobby has progressed some since I last looked at it. (30 years ago ) The day is quickly coming when I will have to let go of all of the big wood working equipment, but I don't want to stop building, so I am looking at this as an alternative. Cheers, Tom |

Welcome! Do you have photos of some of your wagons and steam engines? More importantly, would you care to share any photos?

Welcome aboard! The paper scraps are a lot easier to clean up than sawdust (and you can work in the house - subject to "SHE who'd like to see less clutter around here").

Thanks for the welcome.
I have done some more reading here and I can't believe these items are made of card and paper!! I will be having a go as soon as I get some ink for the printer. Vermin_King, unfortunately I am still recovering from a massive computer melt down, so no photos of past projects. There were no finished wagon pics as I just started a couple of those a few months ago. They will be another six months or so in the finishing. The engines are all gone except for the wooden beam engine I am currently working on. I am just recovering from eye surgery so it will be a few weeks yet before I get back at the bigger projects. I will post pics in the "Other things we make" thread as I progress if that is allowed. Cheers, Tom |
