hi - i'm hihik, a noob

been lurking here for a couple weeks now - i'm amazed at beautiful things being built.

i'm interested in building sci-fi and space related models. i already built mirco's shuttle in advanced version - link

my personal preference is to build detailed but untextured models - i just think the uncolored, only patterned builds look more like 'models'.

i'm planning to build ninjatoe's or loenf's tie-fighter, mirco's yet-to-be-finished serenity and uhu's aries-1b. if there're other similar models you guys think i should know of please let me know.

Welcome. There are a lot of good models out there. I generally go with simpler models and try to add details rather than take on a detailed model to begin with. I usually look at the threads here and see models that I then do. There are so many good projects here...
