I just spent an hour reading through this thread with great pleasure. Thought I would give it a bump since there are a lot of members of the Forum who have joined since Phil started the thread eight years ago and since Jonathan made the last post two years ago.
Phil hasn't posted for five years. Phil, if you are still out there, Buddy, good wishes, and I hope you are doing well. Don |

Thanks for resurrecting this thread, Don. I also looked back through all 16 pages. Let's keep it going. New members, how about it.
Here's a few updated pics from me. My wife and I at Lookout Mountain, TN 5 yrs or so ago. My cat Lord Thunderpuncher. Me in my TR6 taking a lap at Lime Rock Park Raceway, CT.

Nice TR6 - not many around in this part of the world anymore - if any.
(I used to have an MGA for a while).

Not sure how I managed to miss this thread. It's a rare chance to know the person behind their handywork, and thanks to everyone for sharing your stories.
Well, the real me... Single, unsettled, future whereabouts uncertain. Lived in London, UK since 2003. Almost level 30 in life and has been around this community for half that time. Started the hobby with Schreiber's Lockheed Constellation when back in primary school, and stayed with paper as my nose didn't tolerate spray painting plastic models, as much as I wished to. PhD in aeronautical engineering, currently working as a university researcher. 'Pushing back the frontier of human knowledge' is a nice way of describing it but the day job feels just like any other. Enjoys modelmaking, digital art, video games and game design, and many more. Previously worked as 2D game artist and now trying to stay freelance. So... yes, another forum member with a job in aviation.

Hi, my name is Francis McGrath from Austin Texas. In December, I'll retire from the University of Texas and put my time into music, disc golf and of course, paper models.

Friends, greetings from Uzbekistan and I live in Tashkent! My name is Vyacheslav, I am 52. I am an aviation engineer. All my life I've been modeling something. I started with cord models, then plastic ships and airplanes. Then, with a long break, I began to make a ship from a set of wood. But for certain reasons, while I cannot build it further, I began to make paper models. And I found your forum by accident. And I really hope I like it with you!

Thanks Don B for bumping this thread. I read through it all too, wonderful stuff! So, here is an update from me. I am 62 and a life-long modeller, paper modelling and member here for the past 11 years.
I am now retired but had a career for 20 years in the Royal Navy followed by a second career as a high-school teacher for 20 years. The photos; first Roberta and I on a family get together, second, with our two kids on our 40th anniversary and third, in my 18th century Jacobite re-enactment group (my retirement project). I am in the centre.
