Hi from Northeast Texas
Judging from the names on some of the postings, I'm among friends from other forums, as well as new friends.
I'm a retired Biology Professor and a retired plastic model builder. I specialized in 1/72 aircraft and brought home lots of awards from IPMS contests. When I retired, my wife and I became full time RVers and I began making card models which I give to friends (the latest was an FG Sikorsky S-39 which went to my sister-in-law who is a longtime fan of Osa and Martin Johnson). We certainly don't have room to store a collection! (I gave my plastic models to a local museum.) My wife and I are Native Americans and love to make regalia and other craft work. We also make jewelry and I love to work with turquoise and silver, although lapidary work and silversmithing are not feasible now. We are avid birders. We are currently feeding 4 families of red-bellied woodpeckers and 2 families of red-headed woodpeckers, and well as about 20 just-fledged cardinals and lots of others. Both of us are basically teachers, with two BS's, two MS's, and 1 PhD between us and will help you with anything we know anything about. This carries over into card modeling and I will pass on any tips I think might help you. Bob, the Blueeyedbear |

You are most welcome here! Sounds like you have a pretty full plate there! Thank you for caring for the woodpeckers - far too few of them - especially here on the East Coast.
