Howdy!
Herzlich willkommen!
Welcome aboard! I'm happy to see another model railroader on here! There aren't all too many railroad-related builds on here (yet), but almost all of the (comparatively) few you can find are excellent. What's your scale? The buildings seem like S-scale to me ...
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your builds, and I'm sure I'm not the only one!

Welcome, Martin. The gal in the first pic definitely gets around. I'm anxious to see more of your work.

Hello,
thank you all for your wellcome.

@tex
the buildings are roughly build testbuilds with normal paper. The scale is 1:87 H0. S-Scale (1:64) is quit unknown in germany. I prefer all modelrailroad related scales from N (1:160) to G (1:22,5). My eyes prefer the larger scales, my wife the smaler.

@Vermin_King
you are right. The girl on my picture is Susan from sketchup 8 and you find her in various scenes. The little steam engine is Friedrich and worked formerly in a stealwork. Now Friedrich is under restoration. After restoration Friedrich should be displayed at the railroadstation of Witten. I intend to build this engine as a papermodel, but my drawings are not ready yet. You con find some pictures from the real Friedrich here: efwitten.de and efwitten.de/Friedrich/

greating from germany

Howdy again, Martin, and thanks for your reply!
Wow! Those buildings are pretty detailed and nicely textured for "roughly built test builds" in H0-scale, which happens to be my "favorite" scale. Are they your designs? I'm wondering because I've found whole bunches of wonderful models as free downloads, AND in H0-scale (!). I'm sure you know about Startseite and Startseite ... but since I have little time, and my German is becoming a bit rusty, I certainly wouldn't know of all the sites and forums there are (Germany being the undisputed leading country, at least in Europe, when it come to model railroads).
And another question, if you don't mind: Do you actually run a model train layout? I'm really just wondering ...
From some German publications, I know that S-scale is pretty uncommon in Germany; even O-scale seems to be dying out slowly ... looking at the space requirements, I'd say it's little wonder.
I have no idea if this is of any interest to you, but there's been a great thread on H0-scale airplanes (please check the "aviation" archive; there are also a few free downloads), and a small diorama featuring a Boeing 307, also in H0-scale, which even became a well-deserved Picture Of The Week (POTW).
As I said before, I'm looking forward to more of your builds!
- Tex
