Hello from Airigami

Hi everyone,

I used to run a web site called Airigami where I would post my designs of commercial aircraft for people to download and fold into 3D models. I closed down the site several years ago (lack of spare time, unfortunately) but it is still something I am passionate about.

A random Google search led me to discover that people are still enjoying the designs and, several years later, are discussing them (and how hard they are to track down). I registered here to see what amazing things other folks are creating, and also so that people could contact me about my designs (I still have them all...).

Cheers,
J.J.

Welcome, JJ. That is wonderful. So often designs fall off into oblivion. That is very generous of you to allow another outlet for them. Thanks

Would that mean that you still have the KLM models?

Welcome JJ! Thanks for joining up with the forum. It's good to see you're still around. Airigami was one of the first paper sites I found when I first became interested in paper modeling (back when Noah was a seaman). Hope all the models can some day be made available again.

Welcome!

Have you considered having them hosted in our own downloads section?

Welcome, J.J.! Airigami was a wonderful site, and is greatly missed. Your designs were unique and distinctive, and were very useful as reference materials. Those jetliners were a nice balance of simple construction and accurate graphics, an excellent option for both the beginner paper modeler and the airline enthusiast who doesn't have the space (or cash) to collect all those diecast miniatures.

I'm glad you have joined us, and I hope this experience inspires you to create more of your jets.

Yes, I have all the models. Actually, a KLM was 738 was the only prototype of a "sixth generation" I was working on several years ago, that was never published. See attached...
