Paper beats rock and plastic and wood and...
Hi everyone,
My name is Christos and I am from Greece. I currently live in Chania, Crete, Greece's biggest island in the south of the country. I like building things, I used to make rocket models and plastic models, usually airplanes, but when I moved to Crete, the dark skies just beckoned me to buy a telescope so I got hooked on Astronomy. There is not much variety in good plastic models that have to do with space and they are so old and out of date, so while browsing I found out there is so much you can do with paper. I watched a few videos on "how to" paper modelling and I just got started building the Soyuz 1:100 by Axm so I would like to thank Alfonso for getting me started I had my first set back today, my wife opened too many windows that the air blew everything away and out of the balcony including the orbital module I finished building......so I guess Patience is the second thing you need in great amount... after tacky glue Thank you for reading this, it means a lot to me that there are so many out there who share the fun! Welcome to the forum. And here's a helpful hint: If there is any place you can put it in a model, add some aquarium gravel. The extra weight helps to keep things from blowing away.

Hi and welcome to the site! Thanks for joining the forum. Take your time and explore around, ask questions which we'll do our best to answer and enjoy yourself. Sorry to hear of your first model loss. Between evil pets, children and being mishandled by people who don't really believe your models are made of paper casualties are bound to occur. Patience really is a virtue in paper modeling. So glad your here. We love photos so you're off to a good start.
