Greetings from a new member

Hello to all. I found PaperModelers site while researching the Juno Spacecraft model offered by NASA. As an amateur astronomer (and plastic and balsa modeler from way back) and a fan of Jupiter, I wanted to build it. I soon found Jon Jogerst's version of it along with other modelers modifications. I just finished the bus section and it's lookin' good. At the same time I found Johan Scherft's hummingbird that I just started. It's all cut out and ready for the glue.

What I like about this hobby is the small amount of supplies needed to make a card model. The only item I had to buy was some glue, everything else I had on hand. I also have the benefit of working at a publishing company and have full access to some high end color printers, boy is that nice!

Looking forward to making some cool models.

Dear gterepka:
Welcome to the wonderful world of paper modeling, what you hear faintly in the background is the grinding of teeth about your luck in printers, bet you can do 11x17 and larger.
Enjoy,
Miles

Yes, having free access to color printers in general is a good thing. When you can use that resource for a hobby, even better. I printed the solar panels for the Juno with a Canon PRO9000 II (8 color inkjet, A3+ paper size) on Epson semigloss and they look very realistic. That'll make that model look amazing.
