Hello Members

Long time member, first time poster. I originally joined because I love seeing people build these incredible models out of paper. I have built a few in the past, my best one being a 1/48 Delta Airlines B727-200. I hope to be able to start contributing soon.

Gus

No, I have built several of the Delta 7 Mercury and Gemini models. I think my first ones were a couple of simple and small submarines. I have a USS Nautilus sub model that's about 45 inches long that I haven't started yet and also a Disney Nautilus. Just about anything that catches my fancy. Only problem I have is finding the time to build.

Yeah, it's pretty big. It was made by a company called 3D-Paper back in the mid 80's, which is when I built it. They also made a Fed-Ex B727-200 and a PSA Airlines B727-100. Unfortunately, the company doesn't exist anymore but you can still find the models on Ebay sometimes. It's one of the few models I have (paper or plastic) that has survived this long and through several moves intact. I'll try to take some photos of it and post them.

Welcome.

I think we all battle at times to find the time to build!

That is a really stunning model. Thanks for sharing the pics.

And I am incredibly impressed that you have to keep it in one piece for so long. But well worth the effort!
