Hi everyone
I'm otherDoc and I have come from the GN15 forum, where I amd know and David (Doc). I do recognize some of you already. I really like card and paper, but I prefer to build from printies and paper kits. This might have something to do with me not having the talent to design my own stuff. Anyhoo, I model in 1/2" scale using HO gauge track. The track scales out to about 16.5 inches or so, which makes it great for small, diesel and steam powered models of Industrial railroads. Mostly it was the British and Germans who made the real, small locomotives and cars, but the US has some steam ones, like the little Porters. Using approximately 1/2" to the foot and 1mm to the inch you can make some cool stuff and run it with cheep HO mechanics and track.
For my next post I'll show my 2 current paper models and beg for more printies, like the ones from the late Jim Snee, a fantastic paper modeler who did use this scale too. Thanks for reading this intro. otherDoc |
