Hello from Trier,Germany

Hi there,
i would like to introduce myself.
I am a Cardmodeler since .... 6 months , (Ok the first short time for me was 37 y ago when i built a Model of "my" Ship).
At age of 8 or 10 my mainly interests was in Ships and anything wth sea and all the Stuff belonging.
Later, after school i became a Sailor in the German "Bundesmarine" on the German Training Vessel "Deutschland" ( 1977-1978). At this time we made approx. 40.000 sm in 7 months.
We had several meetings with other foreign naval units ( Helicarrier from France "Jeanne dŽArc, Frigate "Doudart de LŽagree", PASSEX with USS Forest Sherman).
This impressions shaped my mind for the rest of my life.
And now, nearly being in the "swinging" sixties i started cardmodelling (esp. Shipmodels) again.
Meanwhile iŽm intersted in coloured Ships (Merchant, old Warships), but also the "Grey Fleet", like early ships of the German "Bundesmarine".
Hope to get contacts and Skill through "Tips and Tricks" here.
From time to time i will try to post construction reports.
My next Project will be the "Numancia" from

Other Interests: I Žm the Drummajor of a German Pipe and Drum Band

So long
Rolf

Hi Rolf! Welcome to the site. Thanks for joining. We have a number of active ship modelers here. Not aware of any who currently model early Bundesmarine but that doesn't mean anything. You never know who's interested in a particular subject. Do you have pics of the models you've already built? We love pics. We're glad you're here. Welcome aboard!

Question

Hi Rolf.
Welcome, I have five ships that I am interested in building; HMS VICTORY, DKM BISMARK, USS MISSOURI, The TITANIC, and the USS CONSTITUTION. Of course I need a lot of building practice.
