Herky - My husband keeps telling me that by choosing ships I've chosen a challenging subject to start with, but they're just too cool! My current canon project is indeed a bit of a mess but I am really enjoying putting it together.

Welcome to the forums!

Good luck on your first project. Do post pictures of your build in progress.

I finished my first model! I'm thinking one day I should cover up the "fold here" dashes that show all over and fix the tabs that show between the deck and the hull (I don't think there is anything I can do about the bends I made from not being gentle during the building process), but maybe not! It'd be great to compare my first model to a much later one.

Anyway, I'm really happy that I was actually able to complete it! I was worried I would get frustrated and/or lose interest, but I had fun the entire time! Wooo!

Congratulations. Akogare looks pretty good for a first model. I'd say you've got what it takes to become a good paper modeler. What? You've not started on another model yet? Next you're gonna say that you don't have a pile of unbuilt models on your desk already. (I'm kidding) You've done well for your first effort.

Thanks Elliot! I'm pretty proud of myself, considering I've never had very good fine motor skills.

Also, while I don't yet have the pile of unfinished tasks, the husband sure does!!
