Greetings from Alaska, USA

I want to take the opportunity to say hi! I joined the forum a few weeks ago after being amazed at how much great information is contained on the forum and how pleasant this community seems.

Between family and work I don't have much time to build but grew up building most of the Estes rocket kits when they were still mostly balsa and cardboard tube.

Now, I am attracted to paper because it doesn't have the overhead in paints etc of plastic and there are many great models commercial/free of unusual subjects and I can rescale and reprint as many times as I want. Very neat.

I built the Currell Graf Zeppelin several months ago, and have a Schreiber-Bogan OHEKA II nearing completion (it is on the shelf for a bit since I am at the limit of patience for the moment sorting out a build mistake). Just started a Currell Concorde with Air France livery as a change of pace and to keep getting my feet wet. Perhaps I will photo document and do a build thread, but it is mostly for fun and to develope skills and experiment with techniques.

Have a great day,

Eric

Dear Eric:
Welcome to the forum, I like Ralphs style of models, when you go to other styles you can cut the tabs off and make your own under tabs like Ralphs.
Enjoy,
Miles

Meadow Lakes, a bit north of Wasilla off of the Parks Highway.

Love the Kenai though, I try to get there as often as I can. Salmon season will probably take me south again this summer.

Welcome, I used to live in Anchorage 25 years ago and loved every second
there.
I'm part of the PASA (Paper Aeronautical and Space Administration) group.

Small world!

I have lofty aspirations to build the 1:48 Saturn and associated models someday You might see me over there in the future. Great space models in paper. And the Currell N1 --some stunning build threads on the forum.

Hi Eric! Welcome to the forum. Thanks for joining. Sounds like you're well on your way with the Currell models, they're great aren't they? Our PASA group (already mentioned) is very active, building some great models too. You should fit in easily. Of course you can participate in as many groups as you want; there are no restrictions. We're glad you're here. Welcome aboard!
