Hello!

I can't believe I only just discovered this forum today!

Anyhoo. I've been an avid (practically daily) paper modeler since 2006. I've downloaded, designed, scratch built and just plain kit-bashed paper models of many types in the last 10 years.

What really got me started was remembering a card model kit of Cinderella's Castle I saw way back in 1979 and I started searching the net to see whether or not I really did see one or whether I was only imagining things! I wasn't! I know that kit really does exist and one of these days I'll be lucky enough to find one!

In the meantime, I used Disney Experience and Haunted Dimensions kits as the basis for my own paper (mostly) Disneyland that I set up around my Christmas tree every year. As soon as I figure out how, I'll send some pics your way!

I'm also an O gauge model railroader and my summer layout (4' x 6' on my bedroom floor) features buildings I scratch-built, kit-bashed or downloaded to create my own little tribute to friends I have in Thailand.

My other big modeling interest is rocketry. I often work on those when I can't wrap my head around figuring out improvements to my train layouts! At the moment I'm building the Uhu02 Apollo 13 Aquarius LEM.

So that's my quick intro!

Becky

Well met and welcome, Becky.

I returned to this site fairly recently after a long absence and was pleasantly surprised to see card modeling alive and well.

Just in case you have not seen it, I recommend looking at Papermau's Blog which basically serves as a giant link repository of free card models. If you scroll down the page, paying heed to the far right column, you will find a sort of Index for the entire site. You may find the links for 'HO scale', 'diorama', 'building', and 'space' of particular interest.

Welcome to the site.

Here is a web site that has some models from the 1970's that were in a German magazine. There is a listing for Cinerella's Castle.
Seite 42 - Cinderella's castle
Maybe that is what you are looking for. Looks like the magazine issues are from 1978.

Here is the English language homepage for the site.

Hi Becky! Welcome to the forum. Thanks for joining. I remember seeing some of your work on Disney Experience. Was it the monorail? My, how time flies. You have received some good suggestions above so I'll end by saying "We're glad you're here. Welcome aboard!"

Thanks guys!

I uploaded a few pics of Disneyland 2015 and a photo of one of my other train layouts (from 2014) to the member galleries area. Enjoy!
