Just a quick note to say thank you for letting me join your forum. I'm Larry from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I have been making models for over 40 years in one form or another but have only recently (well in the last year or so) started with card modelling. So far I have gotten a lot of really good ideas just from browsing the tips and tricks forum so am looking forward to being a member :D

Hi there Larry! Welcome to the forum. Thanks for joining. So you've been card modeling for a year already. What have you built, if I may ask? What do you think of card modeling esp in regard to other forms of modeling? What kind of models interest you? Too many questions I'm sure. We're glad you're here. Welcome aboard!

I have mainly been doing buildings and terrain projects but have recently been trying my hand at vehicles, primarily WWII and Sci-Fi styled. I have been a miniature gamer since I was knee high to a grasshopper but the whole hobby has gotten so ridiculously expensive the last few years I started looking for alternatives that I could build myself instead of buying resin or premades. The biggest challenge was learning how to make domed / rounded shapes with paper, that's when I discovered this forum and it's given me so many ideas and tips.
