Hey y'all

I've been lurking here for years, and thought I'd finally introduce myself. I'm from Texas, and I've been paper modeling off and on for exactly 10 years now. Got into it after seeing a dude on another forum post a picture of a paper Mercury-Redstone he built. I decided to give it a try and loved it. I'm a builder, not a finisher/painter (something I hated about plastic modeling), and I can just focus on the building aspect with paper models. I also enjoy the challenge of making 3D shapes with a "2D" medium. I like to build pretty much anything military and space related. I'm currently picking away at U-Don's LA Class sub, and Ken West's SR-71 is next on the list.

Hi Scott! Welcome, semi-officially, to the forum. Thanks for joining back when. Sounds like you've got more than a few models under your belt. Do you have pics of your previous models you'd be willing to share? We're glad you're here. Welcome aboard!

Thanks elliot! Sure, I can post some pictures of my work. Below are a few pics I found floating around my hard drive of some previous models. Apologies for the quality on some of them.

This is a Mercury-Redstone, 1/400 Saturn V and Gemini capsule I built. My brother built the Jupiter C.

Here's a simple DHC-1 Chipmunk I made not too long ago.

And here's a Saturn 1B I made.

Those are some nicely done models. I like 'em all. Looking forward to seeing your work on the sub and a build thread on the SR-71 would be great.
