All,

Thanks for the welcome and links! That steam engine is just too cool!! Yeah I want to poke around and play with some of the simpler things before I tackle anything to crazy. But the appetite is certainly whetted.

Tom

We have some railway-related downloadable models in the downloads section. Can't beat free for the price.

Scroll down a bit to find the model.

I'll add my welcome and here is a link to Zio's trainmodels https://web.archive.org/web/20150219...fok-train.html . You will find some really great models here and you can download them at no cost.

Hi Thomas! Welcome to the forum. Thanks for joining. You have certainly been given a great bunch of links to start with. Allow me to point you to two sources of help - subforums First Cuts - A Lounge and Tips and Tricks, both great helps to those starting out in the hobby. And for those who've been at it a while for that matter. We're glad you're here. Welcome aboard!

Amazing some of the things people are making out of paper. Okay now I just need to get a beginner project and see how it comes out.

Those models of the oldtimer locos I posted earlier are very nice beginner models, though the insides of the cabs are blank. I ended up mirror printing on backs to avoid the white.

Since I've built most of these, I can give you a hand with any issues
