Thank you from the UK

Thank you for adding me to the forum. I have just got back into making models. I want to make a model of the Ross Revenge which is the pirate radio ship for Radio Caroline. If anybody has made it before would love to have a chat and see the plans you used.

Cheers

Boggy

Hello and welcome. you have come across the best paper modeling site there is, at least I feel that way. Doesn't matter what your looking for there's a good chance you can find it here. If not here, someone always seems to know where just to find it.
Sit back and enjoy!

I'm probably wrong as usual but I can't help but think that the Ross Revenge looks a lot like Revell's Northsea fishing Trawler.

Hi darter, yes you are correct for the hull and wheel house but that's as far as it goes. The radio mast is different. Thank you

Well one wouldn't expect to find a model of an obscure pirate radio vessel complete with antenna etc.

However the Revell trawler kit sure would be a great starting point if you have nothing else or no plans to work from.

If you want to build the Ross Revenge from paper and card then the plastic hull could be utilised create the bulkheads and keel etc.

And scratch build the rest.

I to would like to build a model pirate radio vessel one day.
The "Tiri", Radio Hauraki.
She was based out of Auckland, New Zealand, in the mid to late 60's.

Memories..........

A challenge for us both.
