Salutations from New Jersey!
Ahoy there!
Just discovered PaperModelers.com yesterday. Am putting together some of the WarArtisan sailing ship models, and miniature ancient buildings for my miniature Romans to fight over. Hope to learn how to build them better and more easily from you. |

Welcome. Those WarArtisan ships are great, but where do you find buildings in that small a scale?

Salutations, gentlefolk !
Thank you for the warm welcome ! There's a post, with photos, of the ship model at theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=449284 with notes on 'what I did wrong that time'. If you'd like to check it out and contribute your opinions, would appreciate it. Will reprint it here if anyone's really interested, but would rather just talk about next project (have printed the same ship out in 1/1200) when that one's underway. The 'toy soldiers' are in '15 mm' size - about 1/120 or 1/125, 'TT gauge' for model railroaders. Just purchased the 'Desert Fortress' and 'Desert Village'*, will be assembling them as base for the Palmyrans of Queen Zenobia - painting up that army as present for friend who did me really great favor. Want to find some florist's wire for the masts, and some cutting pliers and cross-clamp tweezers, so will be wandering Manhattan tomorrow - the jewelers' tool dealers seem to be concentrated a block or two south of St Patrick's... Yours, John *sources on request, not yet trusted to put URLs in posts yet I am. |
