Moar Canada :p

Heya, paper modelers!

Hailing from Montreal, Canada. I'm relatively new to paper (about a year, my fourth model in); previously I have been building some dioramas out of pretty much anything, and plastic kits (still do sometimes).

Modeler's profile:
Time period (mostly): 1910s to 1950s.
Scale: between 1:35 and 1:250.
Current interests:
- Land ('40s-'60s usually): Busses, trams, small trucks. 1:64 scale buildings (for my son's Matchbox fleet :P)
- Water: small ferries and passenger hydrofoils, early Dreadnought-era battleships, small or medium converted research vessels (think Tintin's Sirius and Aurora, or Jacques Cousteau's Calipso).
- Air: WWII bombers, small or medium cargo and passenger planes.

I like 'em in context, so usually make a vignette or at least a ground plate in place of a stand for my models.

So far built:
- 1920's Brussels tramway, scratch. First try, didn't even know that paper kits existed. Stumbled upon paper modeling sites half way through the construction

- Digital Navy's Lilla Weneda. First kit, partially painted. Messy. So satisfying.

- A Polish fishing boat as an Aral Sea wreck. Grouted, painted, etc. Fun quick project.

Currently in the works:
PBY-2 Catalina (1:50)

In development:
A runabout boat (1:35) for the Indiana Jones Last Crusade vignette (boat chase scene :p) Awaiting the third beta build. Also if anyone knows where to get a 1:35 Harrison Ford let me know =)

Peace out.

Hi there CW! Welcome to the forum. Thanks for joining. The models you posted pics of look great. I particularly like the Lila Weneda. Doesn't look messy from here. Please continue to post pics of your builds. What would really be nice would be to see a build thread. We're glad you're here. Welcome aboard!

You can get yourself a free Paper Indiana Jones, but you'll have to rescale him.

Hello and welcome. Really enjoyed the photos. I liked the one with all the junk on the ocean, river or whatever, floor.
