Hello from Canada

Never even build a paper model before.
I was looking at plastic models on Youtube (thinking of getting back into it)
Then I discovered paper models! WOW this is cool!

Any recommendations for newbies?

Tools, glues, models to start with.

Thank you.

Welcome aboard.

There are lots of freebees to try before you buy.

Oooooh !!! Sacrilegious preaching from a high priest.

I got several plastic models for Xmas soon after I started paper modelling ('bout 9 years back) and not one of them has been built yet.

welcome to the forum alparent, the basic tools you will need are
1. a good craft/hobby knife
2. a self-healing cutting mat
3. glue, most around here use Aileenes tacky glue
4. a steel/metal ruler
5. card stock usually 65lb for small models and 110lb for larger ones.
6. a good printer with plenty of ink.
7. time to have fun.

for starting models i would try some of the canon creative park Paper Craft - Canon Creative Park
they have a wide selection of models at diferent skill levels.
