New Member with Space Interests

I'm thrilled to have found this site, and pleased to be able to join in the fun. I've only built a few paper models, and just completed the one attached--a Delta 7 Studio Gemini 4 in 1/24 scale. I had a blast, and look forward to learning from this community.

I grew up on the Space Coast--we moved to Indialantic Fl in October 1965 so Dad could help North American Aviation get Apollo off the ground. Those were heady days for a teenage boy to grow up!! I've never lost my love for all things space, and model building reconnects me with those memories and my family!

Thank you!!!

Hello and welcome. By the looks of things your already a very good modeler. Look around and youlmfind all sorts of helpful people and ideas here.
Indiatlantic, Fla. I lived there in the mid 70’s. I went to college at FIT and the dorm for the flight department was located there at that time. Small world.

Welcome aboard! For a beginner you are really good as paper modeler. Your Gemini looks great.

Lots of space addicted here, sure you'll be fine.

Your Gemini has internal details? I see an open door and would like to peek inside...

Thank you, and more pics attached

Thank you for your kind comments, Tonino!! Here are more pics, including the jig I came up with to recreate a 3D gold foil to cover the instrument bay.

Beautiful work on that Gemini. Delta 7has some great models. I’ve done one of their Mercury models and have the Retro Rockets disc.

Thanks!

Thank you jagolden01! I've got their combined 1/14 Mercury and 1/96 Mercury Atlas stack as my next project. The Blue Gemini looks intriguing. Please post photos as you progress!!
