I don't know how much work you have done with paper, but you are describing things that have round, curved, organic shapes.

You might want to do some little projects to get a feel for how paper behaves.

The one-pagers at Canon are great (and easy to give away), Pet Series - Animals - Paper Craft - Canon Creative Park

The Kei Craft animals would be good for this, too, 図工:ペーパークラフトで森の生き の作り! | 森のきょうしつ - 三井物産

Welcome to the best forum on the internet. I know that to be a fact, because they put up with my warped humor. Personally, my favorite vehicle is the 1950 Indian, but if you are going to build the Hunley, I will indeed be an on-looker.

Cool beans on the 1950 Indian.

The Hunley will be the first one. I'm currently working on the drawings and a process to build the first iteration without color. I want to make it so that you can open the hatches to get a tantalizing peek inside.
