Hello modelers

Hi everyone!
My name is Gab, I live in sunny southern Spain and I'm joining this forum looking for some information/suggestions about how to create things with paper.

I'm a total newbie and I hope you won't mind very basic questions coming from me!

I'm excited to get started!
Gab

Welcome. I'm one of the longer-term newbies here

What types of things do you want to model?

Hi Gab

A welcome from a fellow newbie.
In the short time I've been on here, I've found you won't get a better bunch of card/paper model nuts anywhere else. The knowledge base of it's members is amazing and I have found that all will help in anyway they can.

Take care
Rob

Thanks everyone.
As I explained in another post, the main reason I'm here is a bit out of the modelling topic and I apologize for that.
What I'm trying to do is creating small enclosures for electronics toys for my 1.5 yo kid and some friends. The circuitry are quite simple, some LED lights, some buttons, some buzzers... kids at that age loves this kind of things but I found myself many times struggling to create proper enclosures for them.
I tried with plastic or metal but they are hard to model and not very flexible in terms of colors/decorations. So I decided to go with cardboard and I've been looking around the web for weeks searching a good forum where to learn the basic techniques for creating models with paper.
Your forum is by far the best resource I've found online and the knowledge is absolutely amazing so, even if I'll be building mainly boxes for now I hope not to be too OT and who knows, maybe reading the various posts I'll find some inspiration to start modelling something more complex!

For now, I just thanks everyone for the great forum you've put together!

Gabn

Hi Gab,
believe me, the variety and the quality of the billion things that you can do with paper and cardboard is very surprising! If you had a look around here you already noticed it, I'm sure. So don't be afraid to be OT and start to take inspiration, I think this is a perfect place to do.
