Hello to all

I am a newbie here on this forum and to Paper model building. I have been doing a lot of browsing on the forum and it looks to me like a great bunch of people hang out here. I hope that I might join your ranks in sharing builds and friendship. I have been a modeler for the majority of my life and wish to give paper a go. I recently purchased a few modelik paper ship kits off eBay and am chomping at the bit to give it a go! I just wanted to introduce my self and apologize ahead of time for being a nuisance because I know I will be asking a lot of questions.....

P.S. I see a lot of veterans here, Thank you for your service.

Welcome to the forum. I would start with some freebies to learn how paper behaves before jumping in on the Modelik ships.

Hello and welcome. Yes indeed this is a great place to get a better grasp on the world of paper modeling. Start slow with a few, simple, free kits. Then once you’ve gotten the hang of it. Take it from there.
I see your from North Carolina, Mooresville, NC here.

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for joining. STOP! Before you do anything else with that model scan it into your computer. That way when you make mistakes, and you will, instead of having ruined the model, you just print off another part and continue on. Don't ask me how I learned this. Also you should check out the First Cuts - A Lounge and the Tips and Tricks subforums. Both are full of good information that can help keep you from making mistakes. As far as questions go, ask away. Better to ask than to wish you had done so.

Welcome, you will have a lot of fun here. I am 100% in agreement with elliott, surely you make mistakes as we have all done, manipulating the paper is very different, there are certain tricks and techniques that you will learn here, ask, ask and ask more, many will answer you . Almost all come from another branch of modeling and I assure you that you will be surprised of what can be done simply with paper, blades and glue.

Every model I've built has mistakes. The trick is to make them not obvious
