Hello

Hi,

My name is John. I'm a new member. I only got back into making paper models this year because I had extra time on my hands due to cancer (I'm on the mend now). So in many ways I'm a newbie. One of the new things I haven't even begun to learn is designing models via software. Way back when, I would plan it all on paper. (Still do.)
I've been making models of animals and a few items to do with old science fiction films. It was the availability of some models on this site that attracted me to it. I've still to make those though. I've got a bit of to do list for myself.
I've attached some photos of models I've made from designs available from the internet. I scaled up the tortoise and owl to make them bigger. I also scaled up the Gort mask so it would fit on my wife's toy gorilla.
I still have quite a bit to learn on finding my way around this site and how to do this or that.

Regards,
John.

Hi Airdave,

It's your cutandfold website that I downloaded the Gort mask. Thanks for the design. It was the best one I could find on the net. I'll be making your Rocketeer and Cody masks at some point. I haven't made up my mind which of my wife's cuddly toys are going to be wearing them!

Hello and welcome. Glad to hear your getting better. What better way to recoup than by building something out of paper.
Look around this site and you will find a wealth of information and tons of helpful advice.

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for joining. Looks like you''re well past the new to the hobby stage and are doing quite well. Please continue to post pics of your builds and do a build thread or three along the way. Don't be a stranger.

Hi John, welcome to the forum. You've some very nice models there. I especially like the owl; is it from Canon?
