Greetings From The Emerald City
Being, as of late, a mostly wooden ship modeler who started in plastic in my youth and am tempted often to return due to the vast improvements and our fine IPMS-Seattle group, I have been very intrigued by some finished card models. Both the wide availability of subjects and concentration on building vs painting is impressive, and I've seen several excellent approaches to the issues involved in compound curves and clear canopys. The addition of resin castings and skeletal parts in card make a great deal of sense. Our IPMS President and Vice-President say each year they are astounded at the nationals by many card modeler's work. I have some questions which have frustrated me, and so far, I haven't been able to figure out how to assemble a JSC 1/400sc Cruiser. The English instructions remind me of the ones I discarded that came in Italian wooden ship kits! You seem to have loads of resources collected here, so I am definitely wading in!

Welcome to the forum. We are glad to have you here.
Have a look at the several building thread there are in the subjects that interest you. There are many great modelers here. And their work is inspirational. Feel free to ask any questions you have. Surely there will always be someone willing to help. Regards,
