Hi there from Mumbai, India!!!

Hi everyone from the Paper Modeler family,

I'm a scale modeller from Mumbai, India. Thanks so very much for adding me on this wonderful paper modelling website and forum!!!

I have been building aircraft scale models since I was in seventh grade in school and since then have been building models from different types of materials like plastic card, perspex, teak wood, aluminium, expanded polystyrene (thermocole) and of course the many plastic assembly kits of which I have a large unbuilt collection. The last type of material has been the paper card which I love working in most now.

I am also into making scale models of ships, military vehicles, spacecraft, sundials and telescopes.

I am so happy to be here and learn about paper models which I love making from paper card after making scratch-built models from different kinds of materials all these years. Hoping to learn a lot more from the tips and techniques shared on the forums here.

Cheers,
Aadil.

Hello Aadil - welcome and enjoy.

Paper is a very versatile medium for modelling, and as a result, you can often find models that would not normally appear in plastic or resin.

If you are interested in Indian subjects, hunt around and you will find quite a few models.

I'll leave you to do the hunting though - that's part of the fun!

Thanks so much Kevin for your welcome. Already enjoying the site and seeing the different types of models here. Very interesting and worth reading all the tips and suggestions here. Not specifically interested in Indian models as I am more into WWI and WWII biplanes as they are quite challenging to make in paper card.

Fun is always in the searching and it gives more pleasure than just finding something readily.

Cheers,
Aadil.

Thanks so very much for noticing sundials as one of my favourites from one of my other hobbies - astronomy. Will check out the website soon.

Cheers,
Aadil.
