Kia Ora from Aotearoa

Or Hello from New Zealand
I have been on and off an avid plastic modeler most of my 50 odd years, however my father past away recently with an aggressive Lung disease that may be hereditary and that has prompted me to abandon anything in my life that could be dangerous to my lungs. (although tbh after years of inhaling model paint fumes the damage is prob already done )
After seeing a paper model showcased on a popular Plastic Modeling site recently prompted me to give paper models a try as there is little toxic substances involved, on a side note I used to be a big player of World of tanks online game until my wife told me I was raging too much playing it one thing I did discover was the 147 odd paper tank models they released for thier players. so downloaded a few of my favorites, printed them out and used them to cut my teeth on a new aspect of the hobby.

First ever Paper Model .. WoT 1:50th scale Matilda

My uncle gave me a bottle opener with a native head on it. It was inscribed "Kia Ora"
Never knew what it meant or where he got it.
Cheers Bob

thanks Guys for the warm welcome.
being slowly working though the B1 now
one question .. do you guys seal/finish off your paper models with matt varnish once completed, im wondering if a very light coat of matt varnish would help tie the shiny printed paper in with the matt water colour touch ups
