Hello from Texas
Hello all. I am just starting off in paper models. I've been doing plastic models for over 50 years and decided to try my hand at paper models. Living on disability has nixed plastic models now so I thought I'd give this a shot. I'm sure I'll be posting a ton of questions before too much longer.

Welcome to the forum! Thanks for joining.
Make as many questions as you wish. There will always be someone willing to clarify any doubts. Enjoy, and have fun. That's the most important part of the hobby.

Welcome, TS! You'll find that the number and variety of paper models greatly exceeds what's available in other media, and you'll learn a great deal from the good people of this forum.
I'm in Texas City, so must wonder right off if you're close enough to meet for coffee. |

My name is Ted and I have a problem..... Oops, wrong place. I live in Beaumont, but from Lake Charles, LA. I'm one of the upset Saints fan but trying to calm my nerves with paper models and flight sims. We moved to Beaumont a few months ago from San Antonio, which we had moved to from Houston. We were staying with our daughter in Houston while I was going to the VA hospital there weekly+. Once I was through with all of my surgeries and the subsequent checkups, we moved in with the son in San Antonio until we could find some place closer to Lake Charles where the grandkids are. Anyway, to make a short story long, that's how we got to where we are now. I'll be darned if we move again though. My next move will be to the funeral home.

My wife and I moved from Houston to Lago Vista, a bit NW of Austin when I retired a few years back. It's a tad far to go to get together. Wayne |

Oh, Ted, but we all do have a... "problem", as you can read here:
"You must be a paper modeler if...."

As the crow flies, Ted, we're not that far apart -- but the bay takes up half that distance, so road travel becomes significant. Still, if you're OK for driving, perhaps some day we could meet for lunch at Winnie or some other half-way spot. Take a gander at the map and let me know what you think. (For you, it would be even easier to meet up with any of our Houston members.)
