Hello from Omaha

Hello,
My soon to be 7 year old son Cameron LOVES airplanes, especially those of the WWII era. He was given a history of airplanes book for Christmas that included 50 cardstock aircraft models, and since then he has been hooked. Scouring Google has been our newest past time finding material for him to assemble. He assembles them mostly himself using copy paper and tape, but he loves it! Thank you to everyone who provides the free downloads to keep him in good supply! We also love looking through the finished models that you have created, and giving him ideas to better his models.

Here are his latest... a B-24 from here, a P-51 mustang, a Huey, and a London air ambulance. He does it all by himself usually!

Does he use tape on all of the parts?.. (just curious) If so, when he's a little older, you may want to introduce him in the future to white, craft glue such as Elmer's or Aleene's, it results in sticky fingers, is water soluble (easy to clean up) and fosters a little patience but it does dry clear.

At 7 years of age, he's off to a great start!...

If this is the work he is doing at seven, with plain bond paper, then he has a bright future as a paper modeler.

To my eye, these models very attractive, just as they are, and he is developing the knowledge of the materials and the skills that will serve him well as he continues to build and experiment.

How lucky he is to have a parent who is interested and engaged!

I look forward to seeing many more of Cameron's paper models. And yours - surely, you are doing a little scoring, cutting, folding, and pasting yourself?

Don
