Greetings and salutations from Hurricane Alley
Hello all, I've been lurking for quite a bit now so figured I may as well introduce myself before Hurricane Dorian destroys my home here in central Florida....
I've been casually watching card model builds for over a decade and occasionally downloaded some kits but have been almost exclusively a dyed in the wool plastic aircraft modeller in the Gentlemen's Scale of 1:72 for the past 30 years. Recently though I stepped over the verge and have to date built perhaps five card models of various genre. What has always attracted me to and got me finally to try one is the sheer wealth of what is available in paper as opposed to plastic or resin. Anything one can imagine almost is available in card whether it's Scifi or Architecture or Real Space. My first two attempted models were from video games that I played with my son when he was a wee one, Descent: Freespace and Homeworld, things I could never have built for him outside of the paper modelling world. I have so much to learn judging by some of the work I see on here but even as a neophyte I am getting a lot of enjoyment from this. |

Welcome! (from JAX) got your, "hurricane shoes" on?.. I have this philosophy, "as long as the roof stays on, I'm good"...
