Post Big hello from Deep River

Hello paper fanatics. Greetings from Deep River Ontario. Last month I found the craft of paper modelling quite by accident when doing some research for a plastic model. I was intrigued! I didn’t know these models existed. I am at that stage in life where I am looking for a hobby and a distraction from work! I found this site today while surfing for some help. I started the DN USS Oregon as my first model. I look forward to the challenge! I have learned so much today looking through some of the forums. Big thanks to the people providing help and encouragement.

Hello FRD and Philip. Thanks for the welcome. I hit my first hurdle. Attaching the stern tube is presenting problems. I keep trying. I printed a few copies of the sheet - so - I persevere.

I'm glad to see another plastic modeler convert come on board. I stumbled across Fiddlers' Green a few years back, which lead me here. Be advised; paper is more addictive than plastic!

Sorry about the orientation of the pics. The originals are in the correct orientation. I do not know how to edit?
