Greetings From Minnesota!

Hello everyone and thanks for inviting me to the group.

I've enjoyed building models off and on my entire life and since it looks like I'll have some extended home time on my hands I thought it a good time to renew the passion.

I really enjoy card modeling due to the challenge of building 3 dimensional objects from a 2 dimensional material. The large variety of models available is also a big plus and you can't beat it as a economical pass time.

Regards all,

Randy

Hello and welcome Randy. In the mid 40's I lived a few miles south of Forest Lake,
and went to the forth grade there by bus. We lived in a couple of cabins with ani
outhouse by Tamarack(sp) Lake and there was a forest fire while we were there.
We were back a few years ago and the house we lived in in St. Paul is still there, but I can't even find a lake where I thought it was.
Stay well, Bob

Welcome, Randy. Lots of different angles and interests here, and a friendly crowd from all over the world. Feel free to share your explorations in paper. (I grew up in Rochester, myself).

Welcome! I lived in St. Paul for 20 years before the winters and snow wore me down.

That said, Minnesota winters are good for cardmodeling....

Thank you to everyone who responded. I appreciate it.

As for a update, I'm currently working on a WWI Fiat 15ter Truck 1:72 Model by Alex Smith. I'm having a bit of difficulty with this one as there are minimal diagrams and zero instructions. With that said, I'm making progress and enjoying the build but there are still a few parts which I'm struggling to place. Just part of the challenge I guess as well as working in such a small scale makes for some tiny components.

I'll endeavor to persevere!

Take care all.
