Hi again from North East England

Hi guys
Iv been a long time browser but never actually got round to making anything due to not having a printer.
I'm now wanting to give it a try but I'm unsure of what printer that's not too dear, to get.
Any recommendations for a printer and any other things needed to make a start would be great.
I'm looking forward to looking around and hopefully posting something in the near future.
Thanks guys.

Dear Col:
I suggest an Epson ET-2720, I have been happy as a clam with mine in use for 1 1/2 years now. still on first bottles of ink
Enjoy,
Miles

I've been using the cheapest all-in-one machine from Canon for years. It's slow and noisy but it works just fine

I suggest Canon and Brother for cheaper (but high quality) home Printers.
The Epson models are obviously a great choice, but I think the price range is higher.

HP Printers are often real cheap, and work well, but Ink costs are astronomical imo.
Theres also problems with aftermarket Inks and refills.

You can usually get some great Inkjet deals from Brother...make sure you sign up.
And they ship.
They have overstock, clearance, refurbs and regular sales.
I use a Brother (my best printer ever)
Heres their UK site: Printers | Home & Business Printers | Brother UK

amazon is a great place to get cardstocks and cheap Ink cartridges.

Brother for me. Epson and Canon hate me. I know others have good luck with them, but every time I give them 'one more chance', they live up to my dismal expectations.

I am currently running an MFC-J4335DW that I picked up a couple months ago. Over 300 pages printed without a hitch. Bless you, Brother, for having mercy on my soul

I second Miles on Epson ET-2720. Big ink cartridges so you don't have to worry about ink for couple of years. Prize range in Finland for that printer is 200-250€. I only have used Epson printers so I can't say anything of the others. I've heard Cannon is good too.

I’ve been using Epson for years and found them great – reasonably priced and good quality printouts.

If you’ve got a Wilko store nearby, they do good value aftermarket ink cartridges and their ‘Presentation Card’ (160gsm) gives nice sharp, bright images. ‘The Works’ is a good source of basic craft materials such as knives, scissors, circle cutters etc and their ‘tacky glue’ (a slightly thicker PVA) is good for most things.

Both these stores have websites with store locators to find your local branch.
