Welcome - print yourself a model (something with not too many parts or too many curves). It'll make the tips and tricks much clearer.

Welcome! What subjects are you interested in? I'm sure a lot of us will have good recommendations for freebies to try out that are good entry-level models.

Hllo and welcome,
You can always try one of the scale cubes over at Ecardmodels.com. It is free, and it will give you a good start learning to cut, score, fold and glue nice right angles. It looks simple but getting a right angle out of whack can really mess up the look of a model. Good practice! Chris has some other great models over there as well, and you can check out the download section here too! CT |

I'm mostly a mecha modeller, but I'll take on any easy projects to keep me occupied during down times in Iraq, so I can put my mind else where. Cant really bring a whole lot of tools there (thus no plastic/resin models) so i figure theres plenty of paper and card so we'll se how it goes.

One of my former students made 1/72 and smaller models(bond/copy paper being fairly easy to acquire on his base in Iraq) and gave them to the local kids. they loved them!
