This place is great
All the info I needed about glues. Looks like I'll have to study paper a lot more... This site will take quite a while to go through and browse around. There is so much here! I will now behave myself and post in the proper sub-forums. Thanks again "Oom" Dave --------------------- Dave Britzius (Cape Town) |

Good to see that I am not the only South African scrunched up over a cutting board and filling the house with models the wife hates dusting! Welcome to the site.
Cheers JP

Welcome to the FUN HOUSE... you'll find the best designers and modellers on the planet here. Lots of info easy to get at and if in doubt JUST ASK, like you have already done in this thread. You have been given some really good advice on papers and glue already, but i feel i must stand in defence of the GLUE STICK, this is just one of many glues available for sure and down to personal preference. I have been using PRIT STICK in the grey stick, it's called POWER STICK, it is very powerful ! some say it lumps up, but i never had this problem - perhaps working with it at cooler temperatures may cause this, but never for me. My first paper model from around 3 years ago is still in one piece, there i stood the ground for my POWER PRIT STICK :D Have fun with whatever you decide to use

I haven't tried the power stick yet. The normal pritt stick is the one that clumps up. I'll definitely give the power stick a try! Thanks PT!
