Hi Harpman,
You could post a build thread on your beautifull harps on the "other Things we do and make" forum. Would be very interested to see something like that! Best regards, Mike Bauer |

Even on corners, I find a separate joining strip preferable (if one is used at all). My experience with tabbed corners is that inevitibly a portion of the tab is visible and there is a noticible gap between the "edges" of the pieces being joined. The separate joiner allows a snug joint.

Totally off the subject - but if you decide to try designing a few paper models (or full scale...) could you do the "resonant chamber" from animusic? Animusic There's a short clip on the downloads page.

Hey Retired-for-now,
You could do the resonance chamber but you would have to make the soundboard stiff so it would vibrate. and you would have to re-enforce it, if you were going to have strings. If you wanted it to play. if you just wanted it to look good then that would be easy. Just make it like any other model.:D |

Hello, harpman;
I had a look at your harps, and they are beautiful. Anybody with enough patience and attention to detail to build those things will find that he can do quite well working with any material chosen. I look forward to seeing what you will do with paper. |
