Sand Pebbles

Hey there-
My name's Lance, glad to be here. Always enjoyed modeling but have only made one paper model, the statue of liberty. Made lots of things using paper and I'm delighted at the variety I've found here. The movie "The Sand Pebbles" has been a favorite of mine since I saw it as a kid(I had already read the book) but I have never found anything but scratch-built models of the USS SanPablo- until I found Mr Bizer's work, which lead me to your website. Hope to enjoy many years of your company.

Welcome Lance! Looking forward to seeing your skills translate to paper - wide range of subjects and you can't beat the graphics.

New Diversion

Thank you- My wife has encouraged me to sell my creations because of the build up- I have lead soldiers, toy boats and birdhouses and birds (made from gourds) in 3 different shops- I sell just enough to buy more paint and materials. Unlike golf or tv football, some of my diversions pay for themselves. These things make great gifts too, something from our hands. I think I'll try some of the civil war boats first, I make ironclads out of old boards and scraps, even sold a few- thanks again, never be bored!
