Hello from Greece

Greetings from Greece everybody. I found your forum very interesting so I decided to register. I have little experience in paper models, I am very fond of ship modeling and I like to learn new techniques. Unfortunately the heavy workload does not allow me much time for modeling but at least reading about makes me feel that I am still active.

Best regards,
Christos

Welcome Christo, I am in Athens too and crazy about this hobby even though I too have very limited free time to be really productive. Check the download section there are many models that are really awsome.

PS. My pet project is to design the Averoff in 1/400 in paper but so far...I am just collecting data.

Welcome, Christos! Whatever you build, just start off with a little printing, scoring, cutting, bending, gluing as time permits and ... you're well on your way.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcoming.

cgutzmer, I like merchant ships of any type.

Stormeagle, good luck with your Averoff; did you find hull lines already? Which program you run for surface development?

Welcome.

I have visited Argostoli on the island of Kefallinia and Volos. Nice places.

I think I am going to base my hull on the San Giorgio Battlecruiser which was very close to the Anafi class. There is a model of it available that can give me a basic layout for the cannons as well. My wish is to create an Averoff model with the camo it wore while sailing in the Indian Ocean in WWII...
