Son does paper models

My son builds paper models from this site, I am impressed with the detail of the models he builds and would like to give it a try. It is amazing what one can create from a sheet of paper. He also linked me up with Paper Modelers to get a look at the Dauntless that was pulled from lake Michigan ( our home state) in 2009 was restored and now resides in New Orleans. I would love to build a model of this aircraft.

For a simple, free, first model, there's a Dauntless available at: Fly'N Things -- Amazing Paper Airplanes

And welcome!

Welcome! Sounds like a good weekend project - build under (over?) the supervision of a more experienced modeller; good fun all around.

Son is Andrew Smith, I am Tim Smith, his paper models are amazing and I thought I'd like to give it a try! Andrew resides in Portland OR, my wife and Andrew's mom Deb and I live in Sebewaing MI (the thumb), we recently paid him a visit and toured the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinville OR while we were out there. They have the most amazing collection of aircraft under one roof that I have ever seen, almost can't see it all in a day. Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose" resides in this museum.

Welcome Tim. I saw Howard Hughes' behemoth when it was still residing in Long Beach CA. If one day you'd like to try your hand at a "Spruce Goose", Gary Pilsworth has offered his paper model of the H-4 in the aviation download section of this forum.

But regarless of what you're building, Mr. Taft is quite correct, posting pictures early and often for WIP's is highly encouraged (but no pressure).
